I don't remember how I came to write this, all I know is that I totally fell in love with Dita's burlesque and pin-up shows. She is, unquestionably, the incarnation of chic, elegance and beauty. So here's to Dita Von Teese!

Flash of scarlet lips,

And the deep blue

Bordered by night.

Both gems sparkling,

While pale fingers pull

Down on the lace and frocks

Of a choking corset.

Gliding on pointed toes,

A velvet fan in hand,

And a bath of martini crystal,

All too daring yet there…

To remind us of pin-up days,

And the romantic burlesque.
